Dog and Gorilla
Dog and Gorilla
This story takes place in Pader District, which is located in Northern Uganda, within the cultural region known as Acoliland. The Acoli people, who speak Lëb Acoli, reside in this region, which is renowned for its stunning landscapes and fertile land.
Farming is the primary source of income among the Acoli people, and children are expected to assist their parents with housework while they work on the farms. Laziness is not tolerated among the Acoli and is regarded as a punishable offense by parents.
In this story, Gorilla and Dog are left to work together, but Gorilla is lazy. The story follows whether Gorilla will assist Dog with the work or not, and how the two characters will navigate their differences to accomplish their tasks.
