This tale takes place in the Imvepi Refugee Camp situated in Terego District, West Nile, Uganda, which accommodates several refugees from South Sudan. The camp is segregated into three zones with numerous villages, and each village is further divided into tanks. In Imvepi, education is free for children, and they are supplied with books, food, pens, and pencils.
Florence is eager for her first day at school, anticipating new experiences and meeting new people. However, after a single day, her emotions fluctuate between excitement, sadness, and joy. Florence's first day at school exposes her to new feelings about experiences!
