Despite sports being a crucial socio-cultural learning experience for individuals of all genders and ages, girls and women have often been denied certain sports activities that are considered to be only suitable for men. It is important that girls are given the same opportunities to participate in sports as boys so that they can develop their skills and benefit from the experiences that sports offer.
